Student sponsorship at Politecno University Milan

When it comes to colours, Melanie Wang, student of design at Politecnico University in Milan, certainly is anything but thrifty.
Last week, she completed her Bachelor’s studies and used our yarn Victoria Nm 30/2 for her final thesis. It is an exploration of American – Chinese identity.
Melanie says, the „layers of [her] identity have been tested further and [she is] hoping to explore how these layers can be translated as definitively as possible”, referring to her Chinese origins while living in America.
With her work she wants to verbalize and categorize this feeling of never quite fitting into America or China in a way that she’s comfortable with: textile design.
