What else should touch an olympic athlete’s skin than the finest Merino?

Merino is our Gold Champion!

Olympic Champion downhill Aksel Lund Svindal launched his fashion brand ‘Greater Than A’ recently in Oslo. A main part of this casual collection are Merino garments made of wool yarns by Südwolle Group. In fact, Aksel’s favourites are the shirts and hoodies made of wool: “Wearing wool has reduced my travel luggage size, because I need fewer pieces, and also laundry less due to the wool’s ability to prevent odour. It is perfect for a travelling guy like me.”

Sustainability is key for >A. “We don’t want to be a part of the fast fashion industry, creating low quality fast fashion with non-renewable fabrics, bad for both the environment and your wallet. Our ambition is to make functional, great looking clothes with the design and quality that will make them last for years, and the ability to be recycled or composted after use. Wool fits perfectly into our philosophy.“

So, Aksel, congratulation for winning Olympic Gold – Merino is our Gold Champion among fibres!

Thanks to Aksel and Kjersti from >A for using our pure wool qualities Wallaroo and Sarina in their garments: www.greaterthana.no
